Kyle & Amy | Intimate Northwoods Wedding in Eagle River, WI

I’m so very excited to share Kyle and Amy’s intimate Northwoods wedding!  My morning started off with a beautiful drive down twisting roads lined with golden pine needles and acorns.  I arrived at Pitlik’s Sand Beach Resort to work with the lovely details they had so carefully chose for the day.  Their rustic cabins offered the prefect indoor location for a misty, moody day.

I stopped in to see the boys just as Kyle was ready to put on their finishing details, ties, shoes, and boutonnieres.  I cannot tell you how cute these two littles are!  Mr. Oliver was anxiously waiting (and asking) when he was going to get his shoes on, and Mr. Grayson was eagerly waiting to get his full suit on.  As Dad got them ready, the boys excitement of getting dressed for the day turned into pride as their complete look was coming together- and you can clearly see it in their faces!  These little men were all ready to go, and Grayson declared Oliver looked just like Boss Baby!  It kinda’ became a thing for the day they were both extremely proud of, which I totally get, I guess Boss Baby is pret-tey cool!  (How cute?!)  After the boys were ready Kyle finished up his look with his boys by his side, as they watched in adornment.  (Again, how cute- GAH?!)

I then went down the hill to capture Amy’s last details as she slipped into her gown surrounded by her sisters and mom.  She looked just radiant in her gown and once her veil went in, her look was complete and she was wedding day ready- almost.  As a surprise, Grayson and Oliver came in to give Mom a gift on her special day; a bracelet they carefully picked out themselves for her to wear and cherish for always.  Again, these kiddos are so stinking’ precious; they were so excited and proud to give mom her bracelet, Oliver even quickly volunteered to set it free from it’s case so she could put it on right away!

The day was rather moody and waiving back and forth between a heavy mist/light rain to nothing but a warm breeze and heavy clouds.  As a last minute decision, the weather forced them to move their intimate ceremony inside their tent instead on on the lake, which was a good call as more rain was moving in.  I have to say, these two could’ve gotten married in an alley way and their ceremony would have been just as lovely.  They had their nearest and dearest family there, making their ceremony so uniquely theirs.  As Grayson and Oliver shyly made their way down the aisle to Kyle, they were greeted with a bear hug and as he scooped them up and shared some snuggles before they were seated.  Before Amy even made it to the tent, Kyle was already emotional, causing all of us to get a little teary.  The moment Amy met Kyle at the end of the aisle was so loving and pulled at my heart strings.  Her mom and dad lovingly embraced the love they share with tears in their eyes and adventure in their hearts.  They shared a warm and inviting ceremony, complete with a very sweet sand ceremony including the boys, as their family became one unit.  They sealed the deal with a kiss and after some moody photos in the rain on the pier, we headed in to get out of the rain before regrouping and heading back out a little later for family photos.

Amy and Kyle then shared a beautiful bridal session.  Although rather ramp (okay I’ll admit it, it was totally wet) and quite windy, we bravely embraced the weather and went with it!  That wind certainly did us some favors with Amy’s veil and gown- I loved the photos where it’s blowing behind her!  We didn’t travel too far due to how saturated the ground was, but we didn’t have to as these two are so easy to work with and chose a location that is just as beautiful on a rainy day!

Kyle and Amy were later greeted by an overwhelming amount of love as more family and friends arrived to share in their special day and celebrate their love.  They shared a lovely pig roast dinner with many smiles, memories and laughs.  The evening was full of relaxation and cocktails while the kiddos ran around and entertained us all.  After their formal dances, they included another special moment set aside for Grayson and Oliver- a special dance with mom.  It is so plainly simple to see how much these two adore her and Amy’s overwhelming love for them.  A surprise was in store next, a special request for the boys- Jingle Bells!  That’s right, they jammed out to Jingle Bells (and I heard they do all year long) because Christmas music is Grayson and Oliver’s favorite music- no matter the season!

Congtas again Amy and Kyle, thank you for asking me to share in your special day!  Here are a few favorites and a special thanks to these vendors for making their day special!
