I’m so very excited to share McKenzi and Tyler’s photos from their Minimony wedding day!!! I first met them about a year ago for their engagement session. They were total rockstars and we had a great time strolling through Schmeeckle getting to know one another and talking about wedding day plans. As we were talking, we got onto the subject of aerial arts and the local studio I’m a part of. Kenzi showed an interest, so I gave her the info. A couple of weeks later she was in the studio with me playing on silks and sling! We quickly developed a friendship and eagerly looked forward to her upcoming October 2020 wedding!
Fast forward several months and the pandemic set in and completely changed their plans. Their original big wedding and celebration was pushed back to 2021, but they moved forward with an amended version of their wedding day. A Minimony with only immediate family present to share the moment with them, that was truly delightful.
Cute story; when they originally made wedding plans, they entertained the idea of a very small wedding in Minocqua at Camp Agawak where they met. They thought an intimate day with their nearest and dearest was perfect, but then as plans unfolded they moved to a larger venue to accommodate more guests. When the Covid Pandemic set in and they were revising their wedding day plans, they pushed the big wedding back and went with their very original idea of a small ceremony at Camp Agawak. Their photos couldn’t be more darling!
I arrived at camp and met Kenzi and Tyler right away. It was absolutely breathtaking; like the kind of summer camps you see in movies. Several cabins peppered throughout an old growth forrest on a pristine lake. They had a few locations in mind to photos- which was just perfect since they had so much history there. With a first look planned, we headed to the lake. Kenzi went into a cabin to slip into her gown with I got Tyler ready. I would be lying if I didn’t say my eyes teared up as she made her way to us with her mom. She was just radiant and I was so excited for the both of them- the day was finally here! Once I had them in the right position, Kenzi turned Tyler around and it was the sweetest moment ever! These two are so in love and it is so easy to see. With the biggest smiles the shared an intimate moment before their ceremony. We then went into a quick bridal session- which they totally rocked! It was a bone chilling 40 degrees and raining- Kenzi is a rockstar and you wouldn’t have a clue she was freezing in the photos!
Then then shared an intimate and inviting ceremony with their immediate family. Again, the smiles were non-stop and handwritten vows the sweetest (with the occasional joke thrown in). It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their Minimony and I’m looking forward to their wedding day again next year! Congrats Kenzi and Tyler, here are a few of my favorites!
