This wedding has all the fall vibes and then some! Kayla and Nathan planned the most perfectly beautiful fall day- it seriously could not have been more perfect! Planning a wedding durning a pandemic has got to be so hard and heavy. I cannot imagine the stress felt by couples affected by different mandates that are constantly changing. Nathan and Kayla decided they were getting married no matter what was going on- and knew their day may just look a bit different. With wedding day plans and venues changed last minute, they went into their day full of smiles and excitement!
So I actually adored where they got ready! A last minute change, (and absolutely genius idea) moved them to the beautiful and cozy buildings at Iverson Park. I worked with the ladies where the room was filled with laughter while the ladies sipped champagne, while my associate, Sarah went to meet up with Nathan and the guys. After Nathan finished his final details and Kayla slipped into her gown we ventured out to the warm inviting sun and beautiful park for some photos.
Nathan and Kayla opted to share an intimate first look in the morning before their ceremony- and aren’t they just charming and radiant?! I loved the light filtering through the trees, highlighting the vibrant fall color behind them. After a few sweet moments, we did a few bridal party photos before heading out to the church for thier ceremony.
Guests eagerly took their seats as the processional began. As Kayla made her way down the aisle, there weren’t many dry eyes in their church. Nathan and Kayla shared a warm and inviting ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest and sealed it with a kiss. They shared a few family photos before heading out for bridal party drinks and photos.
After a drink at the bar they stopped at a local rock (known to locals) they had painted for some fun with confetti cannons before heading to Schmeeckle. We did a few smoke bomb photos that turned out AH-MAAAAAZING before Kayla and Nathan a sweet bridal session. I could’ve photographed these two forever- literally- but we had a dinner to get to so we were off the the reception
We headed to Memories Ballroom where they shared a lovely dinner and many laughs. Nathan surprised Kayla with their first dance song choice and they shared father/daughter mother/son dances with each parent before dancing the night away surrounded by family and friends. Congratulations again Kayla and Nathan, these are some of my favorites!
*A special note on the smoke bombs: Smoke bombs can be extremely dangerous and should not be played with without proper research, approvals and safety precautions in place. Before these photos were captured, adequate approvals were received from the park and fire department. Fire danger was access and had to be approved before we were given the go ahead and multiple safety measures were in place prior to the photos.
