Rob & Kaitlyn | Western Chic Wedding in Lac du Flambeau, WI

What a charming wedding!  I mean, take a look at these details- aren’t they beautiful?!  Kaitlyn and Rob traveled up from their home in Missouri for their Northern Wisconsin destination wedding in Lac du Flambeau where Kaitlyn’s parents live, on the quite Crawling Stone Lake.  These two are an amazing couple with a love for animals.  Rob is definitely an authentic cowboy, or cattleman, as he grew up farming; and Kaitlyn compliments him with her gypsy charm (as I heard Rob says).  Their love for animals has brought and bonded them together- and it was apparent throughout tier day.  I started the morning off with their details and was super excited because Kaitlyn had told me they had their wedding bands made with their horses Whabbit and Pepper’s hair!  She brought the braided strand the rings had sampled from; I had to much fun playing with different versions of rings shots!  I was in and out of her parents house photographing details in-between each of them getting ready.  Kaitlyn giggled the morning away while snuggling her baby, Wanda as she got ready upstairs; while Rob hung with his best guy and Zena in the basement getting ready.

It was very important to them to incorporate their animals in as many ways as they could!  So, with her horse, Whabbit’s hair in their rings, a tribute to her kitties and a photo of Whabbit on her bouquet, and their fur babies Wanda and Zena they did just that!  The had special leashes designed for the pups to share their first look with them- how stinkin’ adorable is that?!  It was truly a rather damp day, with morning storms the ground was quite wet.  But, that sun came out for their first look which lit the forest up behind them!  It was the most adorable thing when Zena made a bed in Kaitlyn’s dress and both of the pups fell into Rob and Kaitlyn’s arms as soon as they knelt down to them!

After sharing a few sweet moments together, they walked down to a beautiful ceremony!  The clouds decided to shower everyone with a cleansing drizzle as they made their promises on Kaitlyn’s parents dock.  Their arbor was beautifully decorated that morning by hand by their mothers; and as the rain sprinkled down, they didn’t skip a beat!  I love how they went with it and didn’t let the weather affect when or where they were going to get married!  It really made their ceremony quite special and makes me think of so many romantic love quotes about dancing & kissing in the rain!  We quickly got in a few photos after before the rain really started to come down, and of course, we had to embrace the weather and do a fun photo in the rain!

We then headed to Lake of the Torches Casino for their western chic inspired reception!  Again, everything was carefully designed and planned by hand the evening before, and they shared an amazing reception with family and friends from all over the states!  The skies slightly brightened again, so we headed out to the lake to for a mini bridal session before heading back to the ten to dance the night away!  And let me tell you, a very special shout-out to The Third Wheels: Best Wedding Band Ever!!!  They had an amazing dance floor- packed the whole time as smiles were had and memories made!  Congrats again Rob & Kaitlyn, here are my favorites from your day:
