Melissa and Scott shared an intimate day so filled with love I totally cried behind the camera a couple of times! Unfortunately the pandemic has rippled through everyone’s lives in some way or another, and it affected Scott and Melissa’s original wedding plans as well. But, you would never know it by looking at their love, the smiles on their faces, and support they had on (one) of their special days! That’s right, their wedding day isn’t the only celebration these two are planning; but rather another one in the fall for all of their nearest and dearest can join them. (I’m also so very excited to document that day for them as well!
While keeping safety in mind with so much we still don’t know about the virus, and with restrictions being lifted only a couple of weeks before their wedding, Melissa and Scott decided to have a small (very intimate) ceremony and celebration on their original wedding day. They decided to share a first look and bridal session at Schmeeckle Reserve on their beautiful summer day as originally planned before their ceremony. The weather was absolutely sublime, with a welcomed big blue sky and mild 75 degrees it couldn’t have been any better!
Melissa looked just darling- like a fairy goddess in the forest, meeting her dashing groom before they made their forever promises. They were both so full of giggles I knew their first look would be sweet and full of smiles! They shared a fun bridal session at Schmeeckle and a few photos downtown Stevens Point before heading to Eron’s Event Barn.
They’re ceremony was incredibly thoughtful and full of emotion. Melissa’s brother-in-law performed their ceremony, and the entire event was live streamed for all of their guests that were unable to be there. Their handwritten vows tugged on my heart as they made their promises. They sealed the deal with a kiss and headed into the barn for refreshments, their cake cutting, and first dance- all of which was live-streamed.
I want to give a very special shout-out to Scott and Melissa for braving and enduring a wedding during a pandemic- I cannot imagine the stress that it has caused my couples. I’m so happy for you both and I can’t wait to do it again in the fall! Here are a few of my favorites from their day!
