Tom & Sam | Classy & Hip Milwaukee Wedding at South Second

Sam and Tom are two of the most genuine cuties I have had the pleasure to work with!  They are high school sweethearts that fell for another like 12 years ago and share a passionate love!  I started the morning off at Sam’s parents home with the girls and a very calm and bubbly bride, full of giggles and excitement!  Mimosas were being shared as the girls were getting hair and make-up done for the day while I worked on her details.  It’s always fun to be at the parents home for getting ready because I can incorporate the details of the home that will mean so much more to Sam and her parents!  She slipped into her gown and it was clear she chose the perfect dress for her special day!  I LOVED the beading on the bodice and full, flowing skirt; she looked stunning!  We had some fun in the backyard with the girls before heading to the church to meet up with the guys!

I arrived at St. Jude Parish and Tom was just as cool as Sam.  The guys were looking fly and ready for the big day!  We took a moment to capture the last few details Tom had to finish before heading out for some fun photos.  I have to say- what a great gip to work with!  I can sometimes give some pretty crazy prompts before grabbing a photo and I loved how down to earth the guys were and how much they played along with my silly requests!

It was time to get these two married so we headed in for a lovely and inviting ceremony.  Truth bomb- I literally cried (behind my camera) as Sam walked down the aisle.  It’s crazy the connection I create with couples, especially after working wth them for over a year leading up to their wedding day!  Their Father shared their high school whirlwind love story with details around their first kiss at a football game, and had the entire church chuckling.  All joking aside, they had a beautiful ceremony full of love and support from family and friends.  They sealed the deal with a kiss (or two…) and we were off for some crazy fun portraits!

Sam and Tom had a special request to stop at the Wauwatosa Fire house, as Tom is one of the cities bravest and works as a Firefighter!  Of course, I was super excited about this- I LOVE it when my clients go off the beaten path and want to do something a little different!  We only stopped for a few moments and grabbed some quick photos before heading to Greenfield Park for their bridal session.  I mentioned how fun this group was before- but I know when you see their group photos you will see how comfortable they are and maybe a little wild and crazy- but I loooooove crazy…  Anyways, after some group photos we finished with a bridal session just for Tom and Sam.  They are so in love and affectionate- I literally cried as they shared some special slower moments, and then cried while laughing at their silliness!  The light was truly just magical and I could’ve shot all the way into the evening… but there was a party to get to!

Their venue, South Second Street, had the perfect ambiance and vibe for their day!  It’s classy, hip, and stylized in the heart of Walkers Point in Milwaukee’s south side that embraces the historic industrial character the area has to offer.  I captured the details as guests enjoyed a butlered champagne service and each others company.  They had an amazing dinner before going into an epic dance party- their dance floor was packed the whole night!  Sam’s mom prepared a special performance and sang a song to the newlyweds!  We did sneak out for about 10 minutes to grab a couple night shots on the street and they turned out fabulous! It was a party that went well into the night!  Congrats again Tom and Sam; it was an honor to be a part of your day!
