Zach & Taylor | Traditional Wedding at Riveredge Golf Course in Marshfield, WI

Taylor and Zach shared a warm and loving day surrounded by family and friends; I cannot wait to share their amazing photos! I started the morning off at their beautiful church, St. Anthony’s in tiny, little Athens, WI with Taylor’s carefully chosen details. Her mom met me there are showed me around a bit, while telling me the precious story around Taylor’s pearls and handkerchief that were given to her as a baby to have on her wedding day- how special! The pearls were beautiful and the handkerchief was a bonnet that had been converted to a handkerchief that she had with her to keep her eyes and cheeks dry.

Zach arrived shortly later and I worked on his details as the groomsmen got their boutonnieres on so we could get a few photo out of the way before the ladies arrived. Unfortunately, it was the wettest day of the season- we had rain all day long! To keep clean, dry, and warm before the ceremony, we opted to get some group photos done inside their beautiful church- which offered a lovely backdrop. Soon the ladies were on their way, so the guys hid as Taylor made her way up to the church balcony. She slipped into her gown with her girls around here as her mom helped with her final details. We quickly took a few photos of the ladies before Zach came back so they could exchange a letters.

Oh. My. Goodness! How sweet are these two?! As high schools sweethearts, it only seemed fitting that they exchanged letter. They built in some time alone to each read each others letters- but without breaking tradition. They didn’t speak or touch, they wanted to share those special moments for their ceremony.

I wanted to capture a few more photos of Taylor with the gorgeous natural light their church had to offer- and we had the perfect opportunity in the stairwell leading up to the balcony, where the ladies were eagerly awaiting as guests were excitedly arriving. As family and friends were ushered to their seats, everyone settled in to celebrate their love. Zach made his way to the alter with his groomsmen by his side and the ladies were met halfway down the aisle and escorted to the front of the church. As the doors were opened for Taylor, Zach’s eye filled with tears. It was such a sweet and special moment I’m so very lucky I get to be a part of and capture. They shared a special and loving ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest and sealed it with a kiss. We did a few family photos before heading out to Riveredge for their reception.

I arrived at Riveredge shortly before the bridal party and guests to capture they details. They had transformed the room into a beautiful space; complete with an elaborate cake with pillars, bridges, and at fountain, beautifully strung bistro lights, centerpieces, and a custom ice luge for guests to enjoy! After a few details, we braved the cold, wet, windy weather and headed out some very quick, but sweet photos. I have to really take a moment to appreciate these photos here- it is not easy to be out in blowing wet weather at a frigid 45 degrees. You would never guess how chilly it was by looking at these photos- and Taylor is especially brave for letting her full train down in sopping wet grass and puddles. Honestly,y super cute photo session we snuck in with only 20 minutes outside!

We quickly headed back inside to warm up and dry off. We enjoyed a lovely dinner where many laughs and memories were made. Guests mingled with Taylor and Zach while enjoying drinks before they danced the night away! Congrats Taylor and Zach- here are my favorite highlights from your day!
