There is just something special about do-it-yourself backyard weddings, and this wedding as all the goodies your heart desires! Mara and Brian planned a backyard english garden inspired wedding day with a family reunion feel to it- and I would say they totally pulled it off!
I started the morning off with the details that were so carefully chosen and was absolutely delighted when I saw Mara had a peacock chair just begging for photos! I was even more impressed upon learning she MADE her own wedding gown!!! I had so much fun with her details before I headed over (next door) to the guys so Brain could get ready.
Once Brian’s final details were on the guys headed outside for a few photos before I headed back to Mara where she slipped into her gown and then went out with the girls. Brian and Mara chose to set aside time for just the two of them and share a first look, (which was absolutely adorable!) before we headed to Monk Botanical Gardens for their bridal session.
We returned to their home where guests started to arrive and eagerly take their seats out on the lawn along the tree line. With the sun low in the sky, they shared their promises surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Guests were then invited to enjoy various yard games and good company over an amazing taco buffet dinner. Congratulations again Mara and Brian, here are a few of my favorites from your day!
This wedding was truly a labor of love; in true fashion of always crediting vendors, I have to say nearly all of the credit goes to Mara and Brian.
