Angelina & Garret | Whimsical Wedding at Stevens Point County Club

Garett and Angelina chose Stevens Point, Wisconsin for their dreamy destination wedding location, and their day turned out just magical!  They chose Stevens Point because it’s where their story started… right here at Hyer Hall!  Leading up to their wedding day was exciting as we talked details and exchanged giggles over the phone; Angelina’s spirited joy always had me smiling!

I started my morning off with at Woodlands Church working on the beautiful and carefully chosen details as the girls giggled away getting ready.  I was greeted by a very bubbly and excited Angelina with smiles from ear to ear!  It was going to be a beautiful day, full of love and celebrations!

It was time for Garett and the guys to get ready while the girls finished up their pampering.  The weather originally called for 70% chance of storms on their day; we watched it slowly leave the forecast until it completely disappeared and we had beautiful blue skies and a warm breeze- a perfect June day for a wedding!  The guys and I headed out for a few photos (and some great laughs) before I headed back in- it was time for Angelina to get into her gown!

She delicately slipped into her gown with some assistance before finishing her final details.  This girl is hands down amazing, full of adventure and imagination; you never know whats coming next, but you can be sure it will be free-spirited and fill you with laughs!  She needed a little hair touch-up and downed a white cape (aka a dress bag) and had the whole room full of ladies laughing as she referenced her Princess Leia likeness.  It was then time for her hairpiece and veil, and she (quite easily and promptly) shrunk down so the stylist could effortlessly set those final details; again, she had the room roaring with laughter.  Angelina was dressed and ready to get married; there was just one more thing to do.  Garett had so thoughtfully hand written a letter for his bride and she chose to ready it with her nearest and dearest.  I swear, everyone was crying as she carefully stumbled over his words through her tears filled with adoration.  What a sweet guy, it’s easy to see how much he loves her!  Garett also received a letter from Angelina and chose to take some time alone to thoughtfully and carefully read his just before the ceremony, and although he didn’t read his aloud, it was clear to see his reverence as he read each word in awe.

After an already emotionally filled morning, it was time for these two to make it official!  The church was beautifully decorated and embraced Angelina and Garett’s love for theater!  As she walked down to her Groom, Angelina glowed with a radiance- there wasn’t a dry eye in the church.  They shared a very loving ceremony and I can tell you- I cry at every wedding (I’m such a lover of love).  BUT- these two.  Oh. My. Goodness!!!  They shared the most beautifully written vows to their parents (I’m again crying, trying to keep my camera steady and see through the view finder with water-filled eyes), and then they shared their own vows.  GAH!  I don’t believe I have ever cried so much at a wedding; and once again, the entire room was filled up to the tippy top with their love and EVERYONE was drying their eyes!  It was absolutely beautiful and my words could never fully express how loud their love was at that moment, you were blessed to be there if you were.

After we (I) shook myself back into celebration mode, we did a few family photos and then Garett and Angelina stopped by Hyer Hall with Sara, (a wonderfully talented photographer and my second shooter) for a mini session down by the University where it all began for them, while I went to the Stevens Point Country Club to capture their details.  We gathered at the County Club for some stellar portraits of the bridal party and a bridal session of Garett and Angelina before heading in for a wonderfully planned evening!  The evening was absolutely amazing with a delicious feast (I still dream about it), filled with live entertainment (magic performed by their DJ), thoughtfully planned toasts, and a lot of great dance moves!  We snuck out for a mini-session during golden hour and Mother Nature impressed us as She painted the sky fro some beautiful portaits before we headed back in for an amazing party!  Congratulations Garett and Angelina, thank you for asking me to be a part of your day!  Not only did I have the honor to document it, I also made a new best friend with a heart of gold; wishing you both many years of bliss and laughter!  A special thanks to Sara Baillies for her amazing talent and these vendors that helped make their day amazing!
