Joe & Erica | Intimate Backyard Sheboygan Wedding

Erica and Joe shared a jubilant and laid back celebration in their own back yard!  I arrived a little before their afternoon ceremony to start with the details, and BAM – I was hit with this wave of deliciousness!!!  I know what you’re thinking; I wouldn’t expect those would be some of my first when describing a wedding day either, but their home had so many wonderful smells circulating my mouth is watering while I write this (more on that later).

As I was saying, I started with Erica’s details in their lovely home while she and the ladies excitedly got ready upstairs.  I was absolutely in love with her bouquet and had so much fun stylizing her jewelry, gown, shoes, and rings!  Meanwhile, Joe was buzzing around busy with the finishing touches of the amazing feast they were preparing for family and friends and the mouth-watering smells were just getting juicer!  A few moments later, Erica slipped into her gown with her sisters and mom around to help with the final touches just moments before she was about to marry her best friend, Joe.  (Oh, the feels!)

Their ceremony was tender and sweet, like the love they so freely share.  Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, they made their promises to another and their love shown even brighter!  After it was sealed with a kiss, they took some time for family photos to cherish for years to come!

Of course, there was a little bridal session after, and these two were so amazing and easy to work with.  They were just smitten for another; and that leg up when she kisses him was like a reflex!  ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!  Many smiles, kisses, snuggles, and some ‘happy tears’ were shared before heading back to the party so they could celebrate with family and friends!

Their meal was hands down, one of the best I ever had the pleasure to share at a wedding!  They were blessed to have close friend (and Owner of Sheboygan’s Black Pig Restaurant & The Berkshire) Chef Rob Hurrie, spend the better part of a week prepping, slow roasting, and cooking their wedding dinner.  Joe was also a chef for nearly a decade and prepared a lot of the food as well, so everyone was truly in for a real treat when it came time to eat!

Joe and Erica really wanted guests to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, so the rest of the evening was embraced with casual mingling and lots of smiles and love!  Congrats again Erica and Joe!  Here are a few of my favorites:
