Kaitlin & Aaron | Stylish Winter Wedding in Eau Claire, WI

Oh my goodness I’ve been so excited to write about Aaron and Kaitlin’s winter wedding! I mean, take a look at how beautifully styled their day was- gah!!! Their day wasn’t even a week ago, and I’m giggling here as I type….

I started the morning off with the ladies where things were well underway! Kaitlin was getting hair and make-up done and the girls were full of giggles as I eagerly worked on her details, and the room filled with more and more excitement. I absolutely adored the room she was in at the Metropolis Hotel; there was so much opportunity to play with details! Afterwards I went over to get Aaron ready for the day (what a dapper guy!) as he finished his details and we headed over to Florian Gardens for a few photos. Thankfully the weather was holding off and the guys shared a few laughs before I returned to the hotel to get Kaitlin ready.

As Kaitlin slipped into her gown, the room filled with happy tears and smiles! She made a beautiful bride and I just adored her dress- perfect for a winter wedding! She finished her details and we headed over to the Florian for Kaitlin to share a first look with her dad and the girls to get a few photos done- thankfully the weather was still holding off!

Okay, I have to freely admit here, I was in full cry mode when she and her dad shared a moment together. Gah- those dad’s can really get me! It’s the sweetest thing, seeing a bride share a moment with her dad moments before he escorts her down the aisle. After a few happy tears, the girls came out and we snuck in a few quick photos before heading off to the church!

The church was warm and inviting as guests took their seats and the bridal party lined up for the processional. As Kaitlin made her way down the aisle, the light played off the many beautiful stained glass windows and complimented her blue eyes! Aaron and Kaitlin shared a loving ceremony surrounded by family and friends and sealed it with a kiss! we stayed around for some family photos before heading back to Florian Gardens for some bridal party photos and a bridal session with Kaitlin and Aaron.

This is where the weather made things interesting (and more memorable) for us! We were as prepared as we could be for the weather. With umbrellas in hand, we headed out to the back patio to get a couple of quick photos. Not long after we were out, the skies emptied on us. I was able to get the few bridal party photos in before it really started to come down. Kaitlin and Aaron braved it for as long as they could; but it started pouring on us, at was a bone chilling 32 degrees, with 30 mph wind gusts, so we finished up their session inside where it was warm and cozy!

I stayed behind to capture their reception details while the bridal party snuck out for some party bus time to keep their grand entrance before special! Aaron and Kaitlin shared a lovely dinner surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Their reception was filled with laughs as we enjoyed a delicious meal and they danced the night away! Before we left, we dashed outside to grab a few photos; I have to say, those are some of my favorites! Congratulations Aaron and Kaitlin and thank you for asking me to share in your special day!
