Sarah and Ryan are the some of the most chill, down-to-earth people I have met and I eagerly looked forward to their relaxing wedding day as it grew closer. They weathered the storm the Covid Pandemic brewed around their wedding day with grace and patience. Again, another couple I admire for their tenacity and thoughtful, careful planning. Originally planning a larger wedding, they decided to scale back their guest list keeping safety in mind, and planned an intimate affair with their nearest and dearest present.
I started up for St. Germain with heavy dark clouds above and rain pouring down relentlessly- the weather was not in our favor! I was hopeful we would have even the smallest opportunity for an outdoor ceremony and some photos, but came prepared in case that wasn’t the case. It was still a light drizzle when I arrived, so I worked inside where it was dry on their beautifully selected details. Soon after Ryan finished his final touches and Sarah slipped into her gown.
No kidding- thankfully the rain let up about 45 minutes before their ceremony! We quickly got the ladies outside for a few quick photos, with hopes to save the time after their ceremony for Sarah and Ryan’s bridal session. The clouds stayed light and were promising for an outdoor ceremony, so they went for it! With friends and family present, they shared a lovely lakeside ceremony with a beautiful wooded backdrop leading to the lake. They sealed their promises with a kiss and we quickly went into family photos with the threat of rain above us.
However, the weather Gods held the rain off- not only for their family photos but their beautiful bridal session as well! Sarah and Ryan shared a sweet session, full of smiles and tender moments before heading to their tented reception to join their guests.
We enjoyed one of the best meals provided by Reuland’s Catering and guests mingled while the tent occasional erupted with laughter. After a few thoughtful speeches, Sarah and Ryan shared some beautiful dances before a fun and exciting sparkler send off! Congrats again Sarah & Ryan, here are a few of my favorites from your big day!
